Tahoe Trail thrashers is a 5 day summer camp focused on teaching the fundamentals of riding a mountain bike from the beginner to intermediate level. The purpose is to provide fun and educational mountain biking experience for kids of all levels through our certified coaches. We teach everything from basic body control to more advanced skills, as well as safety & etiquette. The focus is on learning new skills in a supportive environment that encourages participation with age appropriate coaching.

We will be riding some of the best trails around Lake Tahoe with the goal of learning about and mastering bike handling skills. Students will receive high quality instruction from an experienced & certified coach. In addition, participants will focus on developing their riding skills through challenging activities and games.

This is a great opportunity for children to gain self esteem in learning something new as well as make friends with other kids that have similar interests. Our experienced coaches teach the fundamentals of mountain biking in a fun and action packed environment to prepare the next generation of mountain bikers!

Our kids summer MTB camps are a FIVE DAY summer camp (10am-4pm) covering all the basics needed to shred your bike. We will be playing games and doing drills you can practice at home.

Each camp, your little shredder will receive professional coaching, life skills, meet new friends, learn how to work on the bike and how to handle hard trail situations with multiple options. At the end of camp each participant will receive a shredders diploma, gifts, goodies and the joy of experiencing the great outdoors as they should be. I stand by my camps and I know your child will learn and enjoy themselves at the same time. Let’s get it.

Participants (riders) must be able to ride standing up for 300+ feet and be able to ride uphill. We do not “teach kids how to ride a bike”, we develop mountain bike skills in kids and adults who can already ride a bike.

Registration closes two weeks before camp.

We need to have 5 riders participating to host each RAD CAMP. Why not get a group of friends together and get sendy with us? 50% deposit secures your spot!

Dependent Care FSA receipts are available on request for these camps.

I teach MTB lessons for beginners and at an advanced level. I have over 16 years mountain bike riding and racing experience. I am an ICP Level 3 certified coach with 12 years & over 7000 hours coaching experience, including 5 years coaching at Northstar™ Bike Park.

During your child's summer camp we will be riding some of the best Lake Tahoe & Reno mountain bike trails on offer. All riders are assessed by an expert coach & MTB trails will be age & skill level appropriate.

We work at your child's pace and build MTB skills in a steady, safe and consistent manner so your youth mountain biker can progress their trail riding in a fun way. I have a proven background teaching kids and teens to ride to their potential.

  • Please do a quick bike check before the session (tire pressure, brakes work, chain is lubed & quick releases are tight)
