Ronnie has worked my 10 year old son over the past month and the progress has been tremendous. My son LOVES riding with him and is learning so much - Ronnie is an outstanding coach, super positive, supportive and pushes just enough so my son develops confidence and continues to progress.
I recently moved to Lake Tahoe with my family and decided that I wanted to learn how to mountain bike at the age of 51. I've taken two lessons from Ronnie in the last week and both have exceeded my expectations. He is an excellent coach who does an outstanding job of simply and clearly explaining the technical fundamentals and devising exercises to practice these basic skills. He also teaches you how to properly setup and maintain a mountain bike for different types of rides, not an easy task given how much technology is built into today's machines. Very enthusiastic and generous about sharing his knowledge of all aspects of mountain biking and the best rides in Lake Tahoe.
Ronnie is a great coach who takes the time to listen to your goals, watch you ride, create a game plan, apply, and reinforce. I did a 4 hour private lesson that included fundamental drills in a controlled environment as well as coached trail riding. It was fun, high yield, and gave me some great areas to work on. I'll definitely be back!
My kids have so much fun and learn a great deal from biking with Ronnie. Not only does he take the kids on some diverse trails but he is very personable and teaches the kids so much more than just biking- maintaining their bikes and mechanics of their bikes.
Ronnie is an excellent coach. He has an abundance of knowledge and can teach you how to put good technique into action for yourself. I have been riding bikes for most of my life and consider myself a fairly advanced rider. Ronnie still had plenty of pointers and things to work on for me. I would encourage riders of all skill levels to take a lesson with Battle Born Prodigies. Even if you already know everything, Ronnie is still a rad dude and super fun to ride with. You’ve got a world of skills and techniques to gain and nothing to lose, so go for it!
I just had my first lesson with Ronnie yesterday. It took place in the Northstar area. I come from a competitive endurance background but I am massively lacking in the technical and skills department. After an extensive assessment conversation and a quick watch of my turning habits and bike handling in the parking lot, Ronnie was able to diagnose several issues with my form. He has perfectly crafted skills and programs to help with improvement in a variety of areas of mountain biking. The best part about Ronnie's lesson was that I got more and more stoked throughout to improve. He is confidence inspiring and patient as you learn and struggle through the process of unlearning and relearning how to ride like a ripper!Ronnie's lesson was worth every cent, I have already recommended his clinic to several close friends who I know would greatly benefit from this. Don't miss out on a lesson with Ronnie. It will make you a safer, more sendy rider no matter where you are at in your career. Trust in the Ronnie process and emerge a battleborn prodigy!
We booked a group lesson with Ronnie because we were looking to experience some Tahoe trails as a family and see if we could all ride a bit better....especially me & my wife! Ronnie was super patient with all of us and walked us through some basics before we hit the trails. We never felt out of our depth on anything we were riding and our children had a wonderful day showing us just how much we have to learn. The fact that it was just our family made the day feel much more exclusive and personal. If you are in Lake Tahoe an are looking to go mountain biking you should definitely consider adding Ronnie to your list of potential teachers.
I'm a mom who is scared about my son mountain biking. I called Ronnie to give my son a great experience and to help me feel more comfortable with his understanding of risk, need to develop skills, etc. He did an amazing job! My 15-year old enthusiast came home thrilled with the day, more aware of what he needs to do to cultivate his skill and his safety.I will do this again.
After chatting a bit about what my goals were, he put together a plan to focus on the areas that I wanted to work on and catered his teaching method to my preferred style. We started off the day covering the basics, talking about technique and running some drills and then hit the trails together. It was super fun and I definitely learned a lot.Ronnie is a really great instructor and would recommend him to anyone that wants to improve their mounting biking skills.
Ronnie has that rare ability to get kids riding better than they thought they could, faster than they thought they could & all while having so much fun they don't want to come home.
I love riding with Ronnie, he has taught me so much over the years I have been coached by him. He is always very patient with me when I am unsure and he is always stoked for me when I send it!
Ronnie is a super rad dude! His coaching breaks down fundamentals into simple steps, that when put together bring your MTB game to the next level. I watched him work with the Jr race team this season - major improvements in the way the kids manage their bikes!
